What is a VBT? Get ready to create a buzz about your book!
A Virtual Blog Tour (VBT) is an online “event” where an author “visits” a different blog each day during a specified period of time. For instance, if your VBT was 7 days long, you/your book would visit 7 blogs, and each blog host would be assigned a specific day on the tour. Each day consists of a different gift of information. An excerpt from your book, radio show, video, review, author interview, podcast or something else we create together.

Includes:
- Complete tour organization between author and hosts.
- Coordination of cross promotion efforts
- Complete schedule in a word doc and shared on Google docs to all hosts, incorporating cross promotion links. Word file and html.
- All sourcing of niche related blogs/radio shows
- A query letter is written to gather VBT tour host participation, radio shows, interviews, reviews, and more.
- Permanent display on my VBT page.
- Publicity in my Social Media Help 4 U newsletter. Depending on the niche of your book, your tour may be announced in my Intentional Conscious Parenting or Pet newsletter as well.
- Follow up with VBT hosts.
- Content provided in a reasonable amount of time.
- Tweets for Twitter and status updates for Facebook.
- Tweets include shortened url’s and #hashtags.
- An optional extra blog tour day visiting or ending on one of my blogs.
- Tweets on my Twitter account and status updates on my Facebook Fan Pages.
- A virtual book tour banner for you to place on your website and for VBT hosts to post on their blogs. (optional for hosts)
- A 250-300 word book review to be posted on a day after the tour for continued buzz. Includes Amazon review
- Collaboration between me and you. Follow up on emails from me. Time for scheduled live radio shows or podcast invitations.
- A request from all hosts to place an Amazon review (optional)
- A request for VBT to be placed in host’s newsletter.
What is required from the author.
- Accessibility
- A free gift that can be offered on each blog for the VBT readers. This can be an article, download, telesiminar, webinar, etc. This is a great way to gather newsletter subscribers!
- Eight-15 copies of your book. (Depends on tour size) One for my review (I do read all books cover to cover before I write a review) The rest for giveaways. This can be a combination of paperback and digital. Author responsible for mailing books to hosts.
- The author will answer written interview questions. Each VBT host is allowed to ask three personal questions pertaining to their audience.
- 3-7 new videos about your book to be used on virtual blog tour. Amount is determined by your VBT size. Video is very popular right now. By 2013 video is predicted to make up 90% of the internet.
- A bio, front cover jpeg of book and one-three great author photos
- A full list of blog tour hosts posted in your newsletter.
- Your VBT announced on your social media sites if you have them set up. (If you do not have any sites set up see my packages and prices page)
Each virtual book tour takes approximately 2-5 months from first contact to completion. This gives you time to prepare other ways to generate buzz and create a launch around your virtual book tour.
An agreed upon contract will be constructed between client and organizer.
